I went from grade 2 to 12 at Oak River with Bill. When we started dating in High School we dated cousins, we went to all the dances in the area....I think we had the 'best' of times growing up in Oak River. The last time I saw him was at the Royal Bank in Dryden....I was getting a tire fixed on my motorcycle...July/1959. - Posted by: Don & Darlene (Clubb) Hannah (School friends from Oak River) on: Dec 13, 2012

When I first retired and began curling in the St. Vital Seniors leagues, Bill was one of the first individuals that, to me, represented the spirit of daytime seniors curling. He was always a gentleman on and off the ice, with a smile on his face and a positive comment this team or opponent. I was shocked to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this most difficult time of year to lose a cherished family member. - Posted by: ronald smith (Fellow Curler at St. Vital Seniors League) on: Dec 12, 2012

Bill will be missed. He was a fun-loving guy. Who else would agree to go skating at midnight on New Years Eve! And how about those snow angels! Carolling with Bill and Joanne in our old neighbourhood was an event to remember. We will always remember him with great fondness. - Posted by: Ray and Jenny Wiebe (friends) on: Dec 11, 2012
