ANNE HUDYMA (KASIANCHUK) Our dear Queen Anne passed away peacefully at Park Manor Personal Care Home in Transcona on December 13, 2012. Anne had enjoyed a lovely Christmas dinner with her daughter where she shared she was tired and just wanted to be comfortable and peaceful. Anne had just experienced a wonderful week which culminated in a celebration of her 96th birthday surrounded by friends and family. Anne is lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in law, Virginia and Allen Snyder, her cherished grandchildren Dr. Laurel, (Matthias) and Brad (Stacey), her very precious great-grandchildren, Aislyn, Kiri and Aneira, nieces Susan (Mac), Paula (Daryl), nephews Jack (Grace), Gordon (Eftychia), Bill, Dennis (Nancy), and Peter as well as extended family Linda(Clarence), Donna (Peter), Donald (Kera) and their families. Anne was predeceased by her husband John, her parents Adam and Parescevia Kasianchuk, sisters Beatrice Maradyn and Olga Uswak and her nieces Joyce Prymak and Marlene Uswak. Hers was a life well lived. Anne had a successful career with the Canadian Wheat Board and while there, she and three colleagues took the opportunity to go from Thunder Bay to Montreal through the St. Lawrence Seaway on a grain boat. It provided great memories. She was very active in All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church, in Transcona. Anne sang in the choir and was president of the Transcona Branch of the Lesia Ukrainka Women's Association . She also was an active member of the Ukrainian Women's Association of Canada. While she lived in Bird's Hill, Anne was happy to be part of the Lorne Hill Ladies club. She loved spending time with her family at Lake of the Woods. She enjoyed swimming, fishing, playing games and just being part of the action and was able to make the journey to the cabin up until her 90th year. Anne travelled to Greece to celebrate her nephew's wedding. She also travelled to Hawaii, Florida, California and many parts of Canada. Anne knew how life should be lived and was very generous with her advice . Fondly known as the Sargent by her nieces and nephews, she could always be counted on to tell them the right thing to do. She cared deeply and was passionate about her role as a dedicated caregiver to her family. She delighted in her grandchildren Laurel and Brad. Anne cherished their regular phone calls, shared good conversations about what they were doing and celebrated their accomplishments. When her precious great-grandchildren arrived, her life was complete. To her they were beautiful, treasured and perfect. Our family is grateful to the staff at Park Manor Personal Care Home. Their care and dedication enabled her to live her life there graciously and comfortably. They kept her on her toes and Anne kept them on their toes in the nicest of ways. She especially loved when her Lil was working. We are also thankful to the parishioners of the All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church for their caring and support. Prayers will be held at All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1500 Day St. on Thursday December 20, at 7:00 p.m. and the Funeral Service will be at the Church on Friday, December 21 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Children's Hospital Foundation or All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Sleep in Heavenly Peace We will hold your love in our hearts. Vichnaya Pam'yat! Funeral Arrangements in care of Wheeler Funeral Home Cemetery & Crematorium 1800 Day Street 224-1525
