Carol, we are missing your beautiful cards & letters already. I worked with Carol at the CN in the late 50's early 60's. We have always stayed in contact even though we were physically miles apart. Carol was so very kind & thoughtful then & remained the same right to the end of her life here & I'm sure in the hereafter. Carol, you will surely be missed down here but I know you will enjoy your new home, HEAVEN has gained a beautiful angel. Our sympathies to your family. - Posted by: GLADYS & BOB (IVAN) BROOKS (FRIENDS) on: Dec 21, 2012

Hi Chris and I drove Mrs. Papai home regularly on the Transcona bus, often waiting for her transferring from the Sargent downtown bus. Mrs. Papai, gave Chris an old BBQ (that he still uses), and of course, She decorated my wife and I's small marriage. As bus drivers, Chris and i would stop right outside her house on Burnaby and Kildare to let her off. She was a great lady, always chatting with us and making us feel good as bus drivers. Thank you Mrs. Papai, and as you would always say..."Keep on Trucking" with love Chris Brambilla, Darren and Tiffany Olsen.... MAY GOD BLESS YOU - Posted by: Darren Olsen and Christian Brambilla (Bus Drivers) on: Dec 21, 2012

Mrs. Papai (aka: Granny Carol) will be truly missed. She was always so generous and kind-hearted. It was always so precious to see her chatting over the fence with the boys. She decorated for our wedding in '97, and SO many people commented that the church basement had never looked so amazing before! Our thoughts and prayers are with Cara, Joe and their families at this very difficult time. - Posted by: Sandy, Dan, Tyler & Tanner Schmidt (Neighbour/Friend) on: Dec 20, 2012

We will surely miss Granny Carol's generosity and kindness to our family and every new member of our family that came along. Our son Lucas would sometimes spend hours outside talking with Granny Carol about anything and everything. It was so cute to watch them together. Our prayers are with her family. - Posted by: Debbie (Neighbor / Friend) on: Dec 19, 2012
