BARKMAN 1932 - 2012 On Monday, December 17, 2012 at Carman Memorial Hospital Martin Barkman, aged 80 years, of Roland, MB formerly of Winkler and Winnipeg went to his eternal rest. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Justina (nee Schmidt), three daughters, Lena and Albert Dyck of Ontario, Margaret Lewis and Rene Dube of Winnipeg, Elma and Elton Braun of High Prairie, AB, two sons, Alvin Barkman of Fannystelle, Harold and Helen Barkman of Morden as well as 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one great-grandson. Viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday (today) at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, 1050 Thornhill St. in Morden and prior to the service. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, Morden with interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Martin's memory to the Heart Stroke Foundation, available at the service.
