ORLAND JOSEPH ADAMS December 17, 1962 December 14, 2012 Tragically, on Friday, December 14, 2012, Orland, or as friends knew him OJ passed away three days before his 50th birthday. His memory is lovingly cherished by his wife Sheena, son Brandon, mother Eve, stepfather Dexter, sister Cindy and sister-in-law Debbie and brother-in-law Don as well as many nieces, nephews and his beloved dog Bailey or Boo Boo as we had nicknamed her. Orland was a loving husband and father; his son Brandon meant the world to him. He was a kind friend to many and was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. Orland had a great sense of humour and always looked for the fun in life. He loved to fish, camp, golf, swim and tend to his beautiful flower gardens and yard. He took immense pride in his landscaping skills. Orland was self employed for many years operating Orland's Hauling and Demolition. His customers loved him and sent repeat business his way often. His life was cut short, but his memory will be kept alive by all that knew and loved him. Rest in Peace Baby. • My sincere condolences to Orland's family. I met Orland in 1998 at the Air Canada building, he was my manager. Over the last 14 yrs we had run into each other a few times during the hustle and bustle of a busy day at work and spent long minutes rehashing old times at the call center, we were friends on Facebook, He had deleted his account and we lost touch. I am saddened to learn of his passing via the media Rest in Peace my friend, you are gone but not forgotten! - Posted by: Ken Ho (Co-worker, friend) on: Dec 20, 2012

  • Our sincerest condolences to Sheena and the family of Orland. We were greatly saddened to read of his passing, and remember him fondly as a neighbor always ready to lend a hand. May your memories of him give you some comfort in these difficult days. - Posted by: Lynn and Peter Valde (old neighbours from St. Catherine Street) on: Dec 20, 2012

  • I used to works with Orland at staff max/convergys. He was my 1st supervisor there. He was always a positive guy and did what he could to make his team more comfortable and make the job come across easier. I had lost touch with him over the years as we both moved on but still had great respect for him for the short time he was in my life. A tragedy like the one he went through reminds you that life is very short and to cherish everyday you have with your loved ones. I pray that justice prevails on the people who took this mans life and took him from his loved ones. - Posted by: Mike Menard (Ex coworker) on: Dec 20, 2012

  • Dear Sheena, I only met your husband a few times while I worked in Brandon's home. I saw him as a loving father to Brandon and you both made great effort in loving him and helping Brandon find his way in this world. I cannot express how deeply sorry I am for the loss of your husband/your best friend. Brandon would always use my cell to call his Dad and Orland would return the call wondering who in a heck called him. He was always pleasant to me when he came for Brandon or he'd say "where's my son"? :) Brandon always loved spending time with his Pop. He talked fondly about the skills his father taught him and loved and looked forward to working with him. He liked the "battery money making" hehe. I trust he is in a place where he is surrounded by the things he loved, flowers and gardens. I was told he had a green thumb. No words can take your pain away,I just wanted you to know others saw the good in Orland and the love he had for his boy. Hugs to you Sheena ~Angee - Posted by: Angela Baziuk (Brandon's friend) on: Dec 20, 2012
