ANNETTE BISSON (nee BOUCHER) Peacefully, after a long and productive life, Annette passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012. Annette, one of 10 children, was born on March 14, 1919 in St. Laurent, MB to French immigrants Joseph and Camille (Léost) Boucher. Annette followed her employers to Dunrea, MB, where she met and married Alfred Bisson. In partnership, they raised two sons Laurent and Raymond and successfully farmed. In 1960, the family moved to St. Boniface. As a young widow, Annette remained devoted to her family and friends, her employment at the St. Boniface Hospital, her volunteer work at Taché Nursing Center, Festival du Voyageur and Pregnancy Distress. She also became the infamous Tante Annette to her widowed brother Dr. Joseph Boucher and his seven children. Annette was predeceased by her husband Alfred, her parents Joseph and Camille Boucher, her siblings and their spouses: Louis (Anna), Henri (Ruby), Joseph (Raymonde), Hélène (Julien) Belot, Germaine (Adelard) Bouchard, Pierrette Léost, Clothilde Main and Yvette (Raymond) Doiron. Left to lovingly remember her are: her sister and best friend Sr. Jeanne Boucher, M.O., sister-in-law Lucienne (Joseph) Boucher; her sons and their families Laurent (Sharon), grandchildren Michel (Annick), Eric (Mélanie), Danny and their mother Agathe; Raymond (Lorraine) and grandchildren Colin (Josette), Martin and Mélanie. She also leaves eight great-grand-children, many loving nieces, nephews and friends from St. Laurent, Dunrea and St. Boniface. The family is grateful to the staff at Actionmarguerite (Taché 4DE) for the support and tender care given to Annette and her family. We are comforted by the many years we were gifted with Annette's life as a mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 29, at 10:00 a.m. with eulogy at 9:50 a.m. at the St. Boniface Cathedral, 190 avenue de la Cathédrale. Interment of her cremated remains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fond Annette Bisson, Francofond Inc. 605 DesMeurons Street, St. Boniface, MB R2H 2R1.
