ELIZABETH DUPLEY Elizabeth Dupley (nee Marcyniuk), age 66, of Dauphin, MB, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2012, at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre, surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth was born on August 13, 1946, in the RM of Ethelbert, to parents Peter and Stella Marcyniuk. Elizabeth and husband Metro raised three children, Rita, Dwain and Corinne. As parents, they were always involved in their children's activities. Elizabeth liked to travel, having been on three different cruises, as well as other vacations within Canada and the United States. Elizabeth partook in many hobbies and particularly enjoyed spending time with and looking after her grandsons, Liam and Brennan. She was a very proud Baba. Elizabeth attended church regularly, and her faith in God was evident. She was a generous community supporter and volunteer, with an ongoing dedication to assisting others whenever she could. One beneficiary of her care and attention recently referred to Elizabeth as an "Earth Angel." Elizabeth had a very positive outlook on life, allowing her to be feisty at times, with an incredible sense of humour and wit, right up until her last remaining days. When Elizabeth was recently asked how long it takes to boil a chicken, her joking response was, "Until it's done." Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Metro Dupley; daughter, Rita, son, Dwain, daughter, Corinne (Scott) Elson; grandsons Liam and Brennan; sister, Doreen Michaluk, brother, Norman (Marlene); and numerous extended family members. Elizabeth was predeceased by her father Peter and mother Stella. Elizabeth's funeral service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at the Dauphin First United Church in Dauphin, MB. Interment will be at the Dauphin Riverside Cemetery. The Urn Bearer is Scott Elson. The Honorary Urn Bearers are grandsons Liam Elson and Brennan Elson. Flowers are graciously declined. Those wishing to remember Elizabeth may honour her memory by making donations on her behalf to the Dauphin First United Church, or to CancerCare Manitoba, both organizations near and dear to her heart. The family would like to express their thank you, appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Scott Kish, Dr. Michael Penrose, Dr. Trina Mathison, the staff at the Dauphin Chemo Department, the nursing staff at the Dauphin Palliative Care Ward, Dr. Pamela Skrabek, Nurse Elvira Planincic and staff at the Victoria Hospital CancerCare Department in Winnipeg, the many compassionate staff at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre Oncology Ward G-D6, the Dauphin Home Care nurses and aides, Reverend Larry McPhail and all who have offered their prayers for Elizabeth. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life."
