JOANNE C. REDMAN Our beloved Mom passed away peacefully on December 26, 2012 at the age of 79 years at the Holy Family Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Raymond and her sister Marilyn Holland. She will be dearly missed by the family she has left behind: her children; Jocelyn (Bob), Lori (Dave), and Stephen (Mary), grandchildren; Kelsey, Kendyl, Karen (Kris), Kevin (Michelle), and Marc; and great-grandson Logan. Mom grew up in Transcona, met and married dad. They built a home and raised their family in St. Norbert. They spent every summer at Grand Beach, eventually retiring there. Mom will be remembered for her faith and devotion to the Catholic Church and her family. Her love of children lead to her involvement in many volunteer opportunities. Mom loved crafting, bowling, playing cards, and being with her family and friends. If she didn't have a good time at least she had a great story to tell you. Mom enjoyed travelling the world and was proud to take her entire family on two unforgettable trips to Hawaii and Mexico. Mom taught us to be independent, strong and to stand up for our beliefs. Her fun loving and nurturing ways helped her and everyone around her, throughout her battle with Alzheimer's disease. On Thursday, January 3, Mom's funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Mary Mother of The Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive. Internment will take place at a later date at Jack Fish Lake Cemetery.
