JOSE SILVA MELO November 29, 1935 December 30, 2012 On December 30, 2012 at the age of 77, we announce with great sadness the passing of our loving husband, father and grandfather, Jose Silva Melo. Jose leaves to mourn his loving memory of his wife, Margarida, his sons Gabriel (Sally), Paulo (Jody), his grandchildren, Keith, Brittany, Kyle, Mya and many family and friends. Dad was born in Pico, Acores in November 29, 1935. In 1955 he moved to Terceira to serve in the Army where he then became a police officer after his service in the army. He immigrated to Winnipeg in 1972 and worked at the Health Science Centre in the kitchen for 22 years. Dad's favourite pastimes were to hunt, fish, and entertain with family and friends. He was always the life of the party. The family would like to say, Thank you to the staff at the Maples Nursing Home and the doctors and nurses at the Seven Oaks Hospital for his care. Vigil Prayers will he held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. in the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church 181 Austin Street. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church 181 Austin Street.
