Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (JOHNNY) SOKIL September 19, 1949 - January 8, 2013 It is with saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of John Sokil on January 8, 2013 at his home in Fraserwood, Manitoba at the age of 63. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Linda along with his daughter Jackie Mitchell (Sid), and his sons John Sokil (Elaine), Mike and Morgan. His sisters Olga Romanchuk (Ray), Mary McDonald (Gordy), Kay Artyshko (David) and Annie; grandchildren Brady, Brittany, Dakota, Julia, Myles and many nieces and nephews. He was born and raised and lived his entire life in the Fraserwood area. In his younger years he was an avid hunter who loved the outdoors and also enjoyed spending time with friends and family. John spent most of his career in the roofing industry with latter being with M J Roofing where he made many life long friends. A viewing will take place on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli, MB, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. Flowers are gratefully declined and donations in John's memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Box 12013 STN BRM B, Toronto, Ontario, M7Y 2L3.
