CHRISTINA WILSON (nee MARTIN) 1920 - 2013 It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of our beloved grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, Christina at the age of 92 on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Tuxedo Villa, with her family by her side. Left to cherish her memory is her granddaughter Tracey Chizda (Aaron) and grandson Clayton Wilson (of Vancouver), her great-grandsons, Evan Chizda, Jordan Chizda and Seth Chizda, her niece Anna Lasota, great-nephew Wayne Leonard (Linda) of Lac du Bonnet, Vicki Wilson, and many more nieces and nephews. Chris was born to Jennie and James Martin in Winnipeg on August 8, 1920, the youngest of ten children. She lived most of her life in the Fort Rouge area, moving to St. James Kiwanis Courts upon her retirement from the University of Manitoba. She married Clayton Wilson in 1940 and they had one child, their son James. Chris was predeceased by her husband Clayton in 1968 and her son James in 1992. Chris will be remembered for her generosity, her fierce determination and independence and her ability to succeed at anything she set her mind to despite her diminutive size. Chris' family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff on Station 3 at Tuxedo Villa for their kindness and care given to her these last two years. In respecting Chris' wishes cremation has taken place and no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Chris' memory may be made to the Children's Hospital Foundation, 840 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1S1 (204) 787-4000 For online condolences or to light a memorial candle please log onto www.mosaicfunerals.ca 1839 Inkster Blvd. 1006 Nairn Ave. 204-275-5555

  • I was very young when Chrissy, Clayton and Jimmie were neighbours 'on the point' in the 50's, and I have never forgotten her. Chrissy was such a lovely person, full of happiness and generosity. She was a friend of my Mom's while they were there, and my elder brothers were friends with Jimmie. As a teenager I often used to stop in at Laura Secord just to say Hi, as I had such fond memories of her. I'll never forget her beautiful smile and wonderful laugh. My sincere condolences. - Posted by: Colleen Whibley (Neighbour at Barrier Bay) on: Jan 20, 2013

  • Had many happy get-togethers with Auntie Chris through the years. She was a little spitfire. Lots of fun. Happy memories I will always have. Rest in peace Auntie Chris. - Posted by: Dodie Harrison (Niece) on: Jan 19, 2013
