Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRITA MARGUERITE THERIAULT (nee FOURNIER) September 21, 1931 ~ January 18, 2013 Peacefully, on January 18, 2013, with family by her side, Rita Theriault passed away at Foyer Valade after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimers. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Thériault and her daughter Jacqueline. She leaves to mourn her children: Jeannette Marion, André (Diane), Jean (Karen), Raymond (Heather), René, Gérald, Claude (Melanie), Suzanne (Robert Cormier), Ronald (Sandy), her 15 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She will be dearly missed by her brothers and sisters, Annette; Jeanne (Armand); Cécile (Clément); Simone, Raymond (Angèle); Guy (Cécile); Irène and Hélène (Napaléon). Rita was born and raised in La Broquerie, MB, and later moved to St. Boniface. She met her future husband Raymond Thériault and they married on June 30, 1956. Rita loved music and dancing. She was witty, loved to laugh and she was a card shark. Rita was kind, caring and always serving others. She worked for many years as a health care aide at Centre Taché Center. Rita had a passion for travel, taking many road trips with Dad. Mom you are now free to travel with Him, bon voyage maman, on t'aime beaucoup! The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Foyer Valade for the care and kindness shown to mom. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, January 22 at 7:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. Funeral Mass will follow on Wednesday, January 23 at 1:00 p.m. in la Paroisse Ste-Famille/Holy Family Parish, 778 Archibald St. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
