He will be deeply missed by his wife of 62 years, Jean (nee Tarapaski); children Beverly (John), Sharon (Jan), Calvin (Bev), Clayton (Laurie), Crystal (Lyndon), and Terina (Ken); grandchildren Krista (Dave), Karlie (Rod), Nathan, Stephanie (Jason), Christopher, Jordon, Seth, Taylor, Meagan, and Brooke; great-grandchildren, Sydnee, Tayley, Morgan, Owen, and Asher. He is also survived by his sisters Margaret and Dolly and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Helga, five brothers and four sisters. Dad spent most of his life in Winnipeg Beach, working on the boardwalk in the 50s, to commercial fishing as far as Great Slave Lake and eventually mastered building construction, which gave him the opportunity to work on many interesting projects; development of weather stations on the D.E.W. line, housing projects in Churchill and was foreman on many major projects in Winnipeg such as Portage Place and the Winnipeg Art Gallery. In his retirement he enjoyed trapping on Netley Marsh, fishing, road trips and many family gatherings. Dad was a kind and caring man and had a heart of gold. I am so so very sorry to hear of Beverly's dad passing. He was such a nice man. I haven't seen him for a long time, but when we were kids, he would tease and joke with us whenever we saw him. We liked him alot. Condolences to all his family. Love from Patsy and her family. - Posted by: patsy zelezen/irving (friend) on: Jan 24, 2013
