DAVID (GRANT) LOVIE It is with heavy hearts that we wish to announce the sudden passing of our father, Grant, of Winnipeg, MB, peacefully in his sleep at River East Personal Care Home Winnipeg, MB, on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the age of 76 years. Grant leaves to mourn and to cherish his memories sons Derryl and wife Shirley, Mervyn and wife Kathy, Ian and wife Sherry, grandchildren Darla, Mandy, Brent and David. brothers Lloyd and Keith, many nephews and nieces. Grant was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Ethel Lovie and loving wife Bea (nee Connon). Grant was born July 9, 1936 at Holland, MB. Growing up on the farm and eventually taking over the farm from his parents and marrying Bea Connon in 1966 with her son Derryl and adopting two more sons Mervyn and Ian. Dad was very proud of his sons and drove countless miles every winter with Mervyn and Ian taking them to hockey practices and games which he enjoyed so much. Grant was also a member of the Freemason's Lodge for many years achieving his 4th degree grand mason. Grant retired from farming in 1985 and he, wife Bea and son Ian moved to Winnipeg and Grant worked at Unicity mall until retirement. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Jamieson's Funeral Chapel, Holland, MB with Rev. Allison Halstead officiating. Private family interment will take place in the Glencoe Cemetery at a later date. You and Mom are together again now in heaven, "peace be with you". Love forever and always.
