EILEEN HELEN TRYHUK (nee SANDY) In the early morning of Tuesday, January 29, 2013, Aunt Helen passed away at the age of 94 with her nephews Arthur Shaw and Joe Sandy at her bedside at Holy Family Care Home. The last of her generation of the Sandy family, Aunt Helen was predeceased by her husband Walter who passed September 4, 2009, sisters Margaret (Buddy), Rose, and Natalie (Mickey), and brother Joseph. Her dog Abbey, also gone now, deserves mention for all the joy she brought into Aunt's life. Helen is survived by Arthur Shaw who was more of a devoted son to her than a nephew, the Sandy nephews (Joe, Alex, Wally, and Danny) and niece Linda Doyle as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews. Funeral Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., from St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave., where Helen was a life member. A Basilian Father officiating. Liturgy will be immediately followed by a reception in the St. Nicholas Church Hall. A private family interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers are Arthur Shaw, Joe Sandy, Richard Zendzian, Father Mark Fillips, Mark Borosiuk, and Peter Kaminsky. We are grateful for the many kindnesses shown to Auntie by the staff of Holy Family Home during her time there. We cannot thank you enough!
