CATHERINE (KAY) KRUT (nee BUKOSKI) June 15, 1924 - February 2, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Kay, on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Selkirk General Hospital with her family by her side. She will be deeply missed by her son Darrel (Valerie), daughters Joannie (Gerry), Debbie (Lorne); grandchildren Chad (Kendall), Crystal (Glenn), Bridget (Jarrod) and Sharisse; greatgrandchildren Trinity, Ethan, Davis, Carys, Cali and Dexter. Also surviving Kay are brothers John and Casmir Bukoski, brother and sisters-in-law, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Stan, in 1999, parents Stanley and Caroline Bukoski, as well as five brothers and three sisters. Kay was born and raised in the Beausejour area. After meeting the love of her life, Stan, they were married and settled in Selkirk where they raised their three children. Once her children grew up, Kay started her job at Eatons which she loved and where she was employed for many years. Through the years Kay enjoyed gardening, cooking Sunday dinners and shopping, but her greatest passion was spending time with her family and celebrating family occasions. Mom will always be remembered for her kind heart, loving ways, and her ability to always bring out the best in people. We will forever cherish the wonderful times and special moments that each of us shared with her. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Selkirk General Hospital for their care and compassion given to Mom. Funeral Mass will be held in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, 269 Jemima St., Selkirk on Thursday, February 7 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing half an hour prior to service. Father Stan Gacik officiating. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined, if friends and family so desire, donations in Mom's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation of Manitoba. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
