ELIZABETH COOK Betty died peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on Friday, February 1, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband Art and son Donald in 2001. She is survived by her daughter Carolynne, son-in-law Ken, nieces Dianne and Corrine and nephew Jamie. Betty was blessed with 93 years of good health up until the last couple of months. She was always active, swimming at the Y, walking with her dog, or square dancing with the Sashay 8's. Through the square dancing Betty and her husband Art developed a wonderful circle of friends and they all had many fun times together. As per Betty's request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. If friends so desire, donations may be made in her memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3, as she had a great love of animals. • Caroline; so sorry to read in the paper today that your mum has passed away. Your mum was such a kind gentle soul but lots of fun. I remember your mum and dad loved to dance. We had many wonderful times on the street with your mum and dad - remember the parties we used to have at various people's houses. And we always met up at showers and 'bunko". Our thoughts are with you. - Posted by: Gordon and Marlene Wilson (Friend - lived on the same street for many years.) on: Feb 06, 2013
