It didn't take long for them to realize that that they were meant for each other and married on October 2, 1948. They felt very blessed and fortunate to have had a love that lasted for more than 63 years. Along with having seven busy children to raise, mom still found the time to indulge in her love for gardening and always had beautiful flowers to decorate the yard. She loved having family and friends to cook and bake for. The highlight of her day was when her kids and grandkids would pop in for a visit. We will all remember those special times spent together at Gramma and Grampa's. Mom left home at 18 and worked at the Chocolate Shop in Winnipeg until she married Dad. After all the kids left home, she enjoyed her job as a home care worker. She also spent many years as a member of the Culross Copper Club. One of her favourite pastimes was curling and going to weekly bingo. Mom was a devoted Catholic and seldom missed Sunday mass. A very heartfelt thank you goes out to the staff at Boyne Lodge. Your excellent care and compassion made the time mom spent there much more pleasant. A special thank you to all the family and friends, who took the time to come out and have a visit with mom, she always enjoyed the company. We would also like to thank the palliative care volunteers for their time spent with mom when their empathy and care was needed the most. Funeral Mass will be said at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Carman on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Lawrence Agorchukwu officiating. Our deepest sympathies to all the family. We didn`t see alot of your Mom and Dad, but when we did, we sure had nice visits. Whenever we`d drive from Winnipeg to Alonsa, we`d always say, we should stop and see Aunty Mary and Uncle Tony. I`m so glad we made a point to do that in the last few years. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. - Posted by: Lloyd and Judy Majeski(Zalluski) (niece) on: Feb 07, 2013
