ELAINE AMELIA PERREAULT Another beautiful voice has been added to God's celestial choir. At dawn on February 8 Elaine was released of her earthly cares and was reunited with her parents Philip and Mary Rehaluk. Elaine leaves behind a loving family, husband Mario; daughters Dawn Lynn (Douglas Breckman, Danielle, Joshua); Kerry Ann (Roger Gagne, Noah, Jeremy); son Blayze (Adrienne, Rose Elaine, Louis); sister Sylvia (Walter Bohonos); mother-in-law Tina Perreault; sister-in-law Betty (Art Kimery) and nieces and nephews. Elaine graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics. She went on to Saskatoon where she was a member of the third graduating class of dietetic internes from the University Hospital. Elaine returned to Winnipeg to work at the Municipal Hospitals, Health Sciences Centre and Children's Hospital. She taught dietetics at St. Boniface Hospital. Elaine's next career move was devotion to her family, loving and caring for them almost full time. Elaine had a special place in her heart for animals, particularly those with unusual needs. She thrived on challenge. Music was Elaine's solace angelic voice, an accordion to squeeze gently or fervently, radio, tapes, records all genres of music from Elvis to Chopin. The one word that describes Elaine best is creative . She delighted in making something out of nothing; be it a flower arrangement, a special dish or just rearranging furniture. Elaine had no time to waste. Elaine's life was full and she was contented. Barrie wrote, "God gave us memories so that we might have roses in December." Elaine has left our entire family and her friends with arms full of bouquets. We miss you Elaine, but we are happy for your peace. The family wishes to express their gratitude and thanks to the caring and capable staff at The Convalescent Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Elaine's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ukrainian Catholic Church of St. Basil the Great, with Father Walter Klimchuck officiating. Tonight when you scan the heavens, the brightest shining star will be Elaine's. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
