JOSEPH (JOE) KIRKNESS It is with great sadness that I announce the peaceful passing of my beloved husband, Joe Kirkness of Clandeboye, MB, at the Selkirk Betel Home, on February 8, 2013, at the age of 80 years, beloved husband of Wilma, married for 56 years. He is survived by his good friends Gary and Murray. He was predeceased by his father and mother George and Margaret Kirkness of Clandeboye, MB; three brothers; two sisters; father-in-law Bill Jones and he was also predeceased by his dear little boy Joey at the age of two years four months old in 1968 on New Years Day at the Selkirk Hospital. Joe worked in a shoe factory, he also worked to make good roads with his dad all across Manitoba. He drove taxi and truck in Winnipeg, until he was hit by another truck on the Selkirk by-pass coming home from work in 1969, he was not able to drive truck after that. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. I would like to thank Dr. Graham Fuchs and the Betel Home of Selkirk and all the staff. Forever in my heart and prayers never to be forgotten. I will forever love you.
