Rene was predeceased by his wife Betty and siblings Gus, Agnes, Lorraine and Albert. Rene was a lifelong resident of St. Boniface. He worked at the CNR shops in Transcona and the main depot for 37 years. He lived a full life outside of work managing his large rooming house in the north end of St. Boniface, which always provided a home for family and local residents. His entertainment was working around his homes on a variety of large and small projects. In his retirement years he was an active dancer at the Norwood and Imperial legions and had the opportunity to travel extensively. A kind and generous man who will be missed by family and friends.
