PATERNO ANCOG PELLERIN February 8, 1936 February 14, 2013 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle and friend Paterno Ancog Pellerin on February 14, 2013 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 77. Paterno was predeceased by his first wife Candida Boongaling Pellerin in 1994 and parents Gandencio and Guadalupe Pellerin. He will be dearly missed by his wife Marie Louise, his children Hans, Anthony and Gabriel, his only grandchildren Braedon and Nikayla Pellerin along with their mom Michelle Ramos. Paterno is also survived by his siblings: Sergio (Teopista) Pellerin of Chicago, Conchita (Felipe) Nanalig and Theodora Gapas of the Philippines as well as his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in Canada, USA and Philippines. Pat was born in Bilar, Bohol, Philippines and moved to Germany for work prior to moving to Canada in 1975 with his wife Candida and son Hans. While in Canada he was employed at several companies as a power engineer. He formed many lifelong friendships with people he met through the years, many whom became very much like his family, namely the "Barkada." Pat enjoyed his mall walking, watching hockey with his sons and grandson and just spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. "God saw you getting tired, a cure was not to be. He wrapped you in his loving arms and whispered come with me. You suffered much in silence, your spirit did not bend. You faced your pain with courage, until the very end. You tried so hard to stay with us but your fight was not in vain, God took you to his loving home and freed you from your pain." We love you Dad/Grandpa. We will forever miss you. Lamay/Viewing will be held at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd., on Wednesday, February 20, and Thursday, February 21, 2013 commencing at 6:00 p.m. with prayer vigil at 7:00 p.m. both evenings. Mass of the Resurrection will held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2013 at St. Edward's Roman Catholic Church, 836 Arlington St. with Rev. Father Rainerio Sarce celebrant. Cremation will follow the mass with interment in Glen Eden at a later date. A reception for family and friends will follow the funeral mass at the Mosaic Reception Centre, 1839 Inkster Blvd. The family wishes to thank the staff at H.S.C. I.C.U, St. Boniface I.C.U and the Cardiac Team at the St. Boniface Asper Building and to their many friends and family who have extended acts of kindness at this time.
