Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGES VICTOR POIRIER Peacefully, on February 11, 2013, Georges passed away at the age of 82 years at the Selkirk General Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy, his parents and one brother. Georges is survived by his brother Louis Paul and sister-in-law Patricia. Georges belonged to several organizations, Army and Navy, Selkirk; Interlake Shrine Club, Gimli; Kartum Temple Drum Corps and the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. He travelled parts of Canada and the United States marching and playing the drums with the Shrine Circus. For many years he would vacation in Cancun, Mexico with his friend Gary Kuffner from Saskatchewan. Very special thanks goes to Adam, Michelle, Kodi, Nicholas and Belle. Kodi and Nicholas were the apples of Georges' eyes. Also thanks to the Selkirk Hospital's wonderful staff for making his last days as comfortable as possible. In keeping with Georges' wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. I came, I saw, I left. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
