ERLINDA BERNARDO ABANG Erlinda passed away on Friday, February 15, 2013 with her loving husband and son by her side. She was predeceased by her parents Leonora and Faustino, her siblings Teresita, Felicisimo, Carlito, Normita, and a grandchild Camden. She is survived by her husband Philip, her siblings Guillermo, Prudencio, Roland, Evelyn, Vilma; her children Pamela (Nick), Guada (Richard), Almira (Ferdinand), Earl; her grandchildren Tony, Jai, Mason, Oneil, Katarina, Larissa, Keira, Leo-Philippe, Rhianna and Matthias. Erlinda was born August 8, 1946 in Sto. Nino Paranaque, Metro Manila Philippines. She married Philip Felipe Abang in 1973 and both immigrated to Canada in 1977 with their three young daughters. Two years later they had a son. Her passing was sudden and unexpected. She taught us how to be strong and resilient as adults and later, as parents. She passed onto us the value of what Family means: to be compassionate, to be empathetic towards others and most of all, to love one another unconditionally. Her grandchildren brought joy and meaning into her life. She was always willing to babysit, even with such short notice. There was nothing Lola Linda wouldn't do for her grandchildren. Memories she left behind will be cherished, appreciated and forever lovingly be remembered. Thank you to the paramedics and the staff of the St. Boniface General Hospital Emergency for their valiant efforts and support. Lamay/Viewing will be held on Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2, 2013 commencing at 6:00 p.m. at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. Prayer Vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Mosaic Funeral Chapel on Friday evening. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Edward's Roman Catholic Church, 836 Arlington St. with Father Rainerio Sarce celebrant.
