WILLIAM ERICKSON In the early morning of February 25, 2013 at the Charleswood Care Centre, peacefully at the age of 77 years, an angel took our Dad and Afi by the hand and lead him to his wife Helen who had been waiting 13 years to be with him again. William was born in Lundar, MB on January 22, 1936. Dad was a Heavy Duty Mechanic for over 40 years in the construction industry. Dad enjoyed the game of hockey at an early age and was known throughout the Interlake for his great net minding skills. For many years Dad enjoyed playing goal for the Lundar Falcons and this was a time that was a very fond memory of his. Mom and Dad enjoyed many years of curling in Lundar. Another of Dad's favourite pastimes was the many family camping trips with his brother Joe and family. Dad leaves to mourn his son Bill (Ruth); daughters Shannon, Lynne (Scott); son Steven; his grandchildren Matthew, Alex and Kailee, and his brother Joe (Alice) along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents John and Ranka and brothers Willy and Lloyd. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff and the Charleswood Care Centre for the wonderful care given to our Dad during the time he resided there.
