NIEN THI HO January 3, 1923 - March 4, 2013 It is with heavy hearts and sorrow that our family announces the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother on Monday, March 4, 2013, at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 90. She is survived by her son Hon, daughter Lan, daughter Anna, son David, son Steven, son Ken, daughter Jenny, and 26 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Trieu; son Kim, and son Phong. Nien came to Canada in 1980 with her husband Trieu Ngo and children and settled in Winnipeg. Here she lived a happy life where she enjoyed cooking, gardening and large family gatherings where she often found herself surrounded by loved ones and the playful laughter of her grandchildren. She will be missed by many. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 rue Des Meurons. Interment to follow at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Chapel Lawn Memorial Garden, 4000 Portage Ave. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Palliative Care Ward, Peritoneal Dialysis office, and all the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for all their care and support.
