Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHERESA JEAN-MARIE BASSETT (nee HOUDAYER) Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Theresa passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 11:03 a.m. Left to cherish her memory are: her loving husband, Avrom, stepsons, Paul and Pat (Kelly), stepgrandson, Ian, mom, Mariann, brother, Ray (Karen) as well as, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Theresa was predeceased by her father, Victor who passed away on November 3, 2011. Theresa was born in Winnipeg on September 14, 1974. She graduated from Transcona Collegiate and married Avrom on March 27, 1999. Theresa was a very kind and caring person. She enjoyed Celtic music and backyard fire pits. In her earlier years, Theresa was a great lover of the outdoors; fishing and snowmobiling with her dad, her happiest times spent in Yellowknife, NWT. In later years Theresa became house bound but, spent many enjoyable hours entertaining her stepgrandson, Ian, he was the love of her life. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff who cared for Theresa in CC4, 4th floor at The Health Sciences Centre. In keeping with Theresa's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations in memory of Theresa may be made to a charity of one's choice. Good luck fishing with dad, sweetheart. We will always and forever love you.
