Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID (DADE) JOSEPH FULLER With deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of David (Dade) Joseph Fuller, age 81 years, on Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Carman Memorial Hospital. Dade was predeceased by his beloved wife Bea in 2010, mother Mary in 1953, father Allan in 1965, sister Isobel in 2008, and Jennie (Allan's second marriage) in 2002. Mourning this loss are daughters Shelley Spearing and Tammy (Ken) Pond; grandchildren Jennifer (Lou) and Randy Spearing, Laura (Geoff) Green, Brad Pond and girlfriend Laurie Cool; great-grandchildren Brittney, Caitlin, Adler, Blake, and Ashton; brothers Jack (Arva), Al (Mary), Bill (Diane); stepsister Jean (Dennis) Gray; aunt Francis (Bill) Paul, and aunt Josie Carswell, and many nieces and nephews. Also mourning this loss are stepsons Dave Lacroix, Darren Lacroix and his daughter Kelly and her mother Sylvie. Dade was born in Carman, MB on January 17, 1932. During his youth Dade excelled at hockey and baseball like his brothers. Dade left home when he was quite young to play hockey with his oldest brother Jack in Brandon, and later on to Ponoka, AB, Carnduff, SK and Pierson, MB. Later, Dade was a member of the Oakville Seals championship teams in the S.E.M.H.L. He also coached Portage Terriers Junior B clubs to championships in the 1970s. Dade played liniment league baseball for the Olympenes in Portage and was awarded the homerun champ a few years. During his working years Dade was employed as grain buyer in Carnduff, SK and later returning to Manitoba to work at Campbell's Soup, and MacDon Industries from where he retired in 1997. Dade's love of the outdoors were treasured times. In his younger years hunting, fishing, and camping with family and friends; later, relaxing out on the deck - he could never get enough sun. He always had the best tan! Dade and Bea had many fun times with their Standardbred racehorses which kept them busy travelling throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan. In 1998 Dade and Bea moved to Carman where they shared many happy years of retirement with their Boston Terriers Megan and Mitzi. Dade and Bea had vacations to France, the Maritimes, Arizona, and Osoyoos, BC during this time. Much of Dade's time was spent playing golf with his buddies in Carman, usually stopping at his "office", The Royal Canadian Legion afterwards. Dade was skillful at crib and often represented the Carman Legion in tournaments. Thanks to the help of some great people Dade was able to continue to see his friends (including pal Mitzi) at the legion often this past year. Many thanks to the staff at the Carman Hospital and the fine people at the Boyne Lodge where he made many friends this past year. Funeral service at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Doyle's Funeral Home in care of arrangements. www.doylesfuneralchapel.com
