  • I just saw that John died. That makes me very sad. He was such a lovely person. I have him at 28th April visited the last time. I will always keep him in remembrance. My heartfelt condolences to his relatives. - Posted by: Christel Berchem (Voluteer Donwood) on: Apr 15, 2013

  • Dear Mr. And Mrs. Bowack were such kind, friendly neighbours, who always took time to chat and supported the frequent fundraising my son Jeffrey knocked on their door for. We often shared a laugh comparing stories about the boys, he about Jeffrey and Kris and me about my Jeffrey! We remember John with fondness. Sincere sympathy to the family, Lee Ingebrigtson - Posted by: Lee Ingebrigtson (Neighbour on Rabbit Lake Road) on: Apr 09, 2013

  • As the receptionist at Donwood a few years ago I had the pleasure of seeing your John on a daily basis. He was always smiling and always had a kind word. I looked forward to his daily stop at the desk. Peace be with you John. - Posted by: Vicki McLarty (Friend) on: Apr 05, 2013

  • Jack [john] and my husband Walter were friends since an early age when they sold fish door to door at Grand Beach and their friendship lasted until the passing of my husband in 1960. My friendship with the Bowack family continued with Jack being a mentor to my family. Myrtle and Jack were loyal caring friends always and Linda and Joyce were like nieces to me. Jack will be always remembered for his great sense of humour and Myrtle for the sweet kind lady she always was. Such good friends never leave us In Sympathy Edna Tustin - Posted by: Edna Tustin () on: Apr 03, 2013

  • Mr. B. Will truly missed by all... Remembering great times at Linda's home actually playing hookee from school while Mr. B would be joking around telling us to get back to school and behave, but smiling all the while. Mr.& Mrs. B. were very well liked and rightly so...also they were very generous in their kindness shown to everyone...John had a great sense of humor and we always felt very welocme in their home. Christmas Eve was always a fun time at Linda's for my family, as Mr. B along with Mrs. B would drive in from Kenora no matter what the weather with his huge Santa sack... full of marvellous toys for the kids and lovely gifts for his girls. Rmembering Mrs. B., Joyce and John with love in our hearts. .. Fond memories of your Dad/Grampa will always keep him close..Our prayers and deepest sympathies are extended to everyone during this very difficult time. - Posted by: Ken & Jan Hocken (Long time friends of the Bowack family) on: Apr 03, 2013
