Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I met Bill just over a year ago when my Mom moved into the same apartment block. He lived down the hall from her. I was quite surprised to hear that he had passed...he was such a friendly person...always had a 'Why hello there' for you. I quite often saw him walking across the street to go to the IGA...and yes he was quite looking forward to the new Sobeys opening up...then he wouldn't have to cross such a busy street. He had a great sense of humor and wonderful spirit. You could always hear him speaking with everyone that he saw in his travels. He is in a very good place now...."Say Hi to my Dad, Bill - his name is Ed !!" - Posted by: Janet Peterson (Neighbors daughter) on: Apr 08, 2013

  • Bill and I met two or more years ago. I never knew what the topics of conversation would be when I picked him up to take him on his errands. Bill was a gentleman, great sense of humor and was a great passenger. He never once complained about my driving, just the other people..we laughed about that often. I certainly enjoyed going to his home and visiting him. His supply of chocolates was great and he was always willing to share. I was taken back when I went to visit Bill to celebrate my 65th birthday, only to find that he had passed. I was so upset. He is in a good place now, rest well Bill. - Posted by: Gloria Ivory (Friend/Driver (TCS)) on: Apr 07, 2013

  • When I met Bill about two years ago, I knew I met a friend for life. He was kind, generous (especially with his chocolates), knowledgeable, loved supervising the building of Sobey's, which I am sad that he didn't get to experience the opening, had a great sense of humor and he enjoyed my driving. Always there for you. I will truly miss him and will definitely miss our talks. He was a wonderful spirit, and a true gentleman. Rest now my friend. - Posted by: Gloria Ivory (Friend (Errand Driver for TCS)) on: Apr 06, 2013
