JOYCE CATHERINE LIGHT (nee BELLINGHAM) 1927 - 2013 Joyce lived a wonderful life filled with love, laughter and courage. She leaves family and many friends all better for knowing her. Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her husband Roy, her daughters Kim Welsh (Bruce) and Keri Oliver (Geoff). Nanny will always be loved by her grandchildren, Aynsley (Stephen), Andrea (Branden), Bryn, Cameron (Caroline) and her four "Greats" Jace, Hudson, Rhys and Shea. Joyce will also be missed by her dear sister-in-law Barb and her niece and nephew Dana and Jeff and their families. Joyce loved curling, golfing, traveling, the Saturday crossword, playing cards, line dancing, entertaining, a great party, the occasional rye and seven, Victoria Beach and everything her grandchildren did! She was an amazing cook, a fabulous baker and there were always cookies to be had at The Light House. Joyce developed lifelong friendships with people of all ages. Thank you to the 2nd floor staff at Vista Park Lodge. A special thanks to Karen, Maggie and Claudette. A gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. Donations in Joyce's memory can be made to The Alzheimer Society Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. Joyce was a wonderful-wonderful friend of my Mom and Dad and my brother and I, who I literally grew up with, and occasionally travelled the world with. I am thankful for the decades of great memories and thousands of laughs our families shared together. - Posted by: Don Wimble (friend of the family) on: Apr 09, 2013

Joyce (I was not actually allowed to call her by her first name then)was our neighbour on Truro Street and my Mom (Lillian) and Joyce often got up to no good together. When my baby brother (Norman) went to Kindergarten Joyce came to the rescue as she thought Mom would be extremely upset and had coffee ready. Mom said "to hell with coffee" - pour me a drink and Joyce did just that at 9:00 a.m. Joyce - Mrs. Light thanks for your sparkle, sense of humour at all times and being such a great friend to Lillian, Frank, Linda and Norman. X0X0 Linda Wiebe (nee Vesey) Love to all. - Posted by: Linda Wiebe (nee Vesey) (Next door neighbour on Truro at one time) on: Apr 08, 2013

If you were a friend of Kim or Keri, Joyce welcomed you with open arms and treated you like family. We were a "couple" of the lucky friends. We will remember always the great times at the cottage and the laughs playing cards, and the big hug we got whenever me met. We are blessed to have shared in the life of such a wonderful woman. - Posted by: Mona and Keith Mikkelson (Friend) on: Apr 08, 2013
