C. ORLANDO BAMBAO VILLANUEVA December 25, 1931 - April 10, 2013 Orlando passed into the arms of his Heavenly Father peacefully, on April 10 at Calvary Place Personal Care Home, Winnipeg, age 81 years. Orlando leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Milagros; children, Orlando Jr. (Elvie), Regie (Lucela), Gina (Jeff) Czuboka; five grandchildren, Paolo Villanueva, Marco Villanueva, Lucelle Regine Villanueva, Dharlyn Villanueva and Trixie Meriz Villanueva. He had a rewarding career in the Philippines as a hearing officer for the federal government. On September 17, 1992 Orlando and Mila along with their children, Regie and Gina, arrived in Canada to join their eldest son Orlando Jr. who had made Winnipeg his home a number of years before this. One of Tatay's great loves was dancing, and he taught ballroom dancing in Winnipeg and Chicago. All of his children learned to dance and enjoy this family tradition. The family is grateful to the doctors, nurses, health care aides and staffs at 5 North at Grace General Hospital as well the staff at Calvary Personal Care Home for the care given to Orlando. Lamay/Viewing will be held on Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21, 2013 commencing at 6:00 p.m. at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. Prayer Vigil will be held at 9:00 p.m. at Mosaic Funeral Chapel on Sunday evening. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Edward's Roman Catholic Church, 836 Arlington St. with Father Rainerio Sarce celebrant. Interment in the Philippines at a later date.
