ANGELO MONACO July 30, 1958 - April 16, 2013 Surrounded by his family, Angelo passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Health Sciences Centre. Angelo was predeceased by his parents, Giuseppe (Joe) Monaco and Catina Monaco (nee Siraguseno), a brother Frank, sister Natalina, infant brother Bartolo, son Dustin, and brother-in-law Richard Vineham. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Christina, Joey and partner Tony, Katherine and her mother Judy; his siblings: a sister Maria (fiance Harlan) and her son Frank; a sister Carmela, her close friend Mike and her daughter Tiffaney Catina and her sons Mathew and Robert; a brother Michael, and a sister Elizabeth (Scott) and their children Ashley and Tyler; Uncle Bart (Annette) Monaco and their sons, Dario and Roberto and Bart's son Sean of Winnipeg, along with his aunties, cousins, nieces and nephews in Italy, Australia and Canada, very close friends Giuseppe Merlan, Joe Mickoletic, Jeff and Elaine, and close friends at Beaver Truck Centre. Angelo was born on July 30, 1958 in Lipari, Sicily and came to Canada in 1959 with his parents, following his grandparents Angelo and Maria and Uncle Bart who arrived in 1958. An extended gratitude and appreciation to those that brought the most comfort, care and compassion to Angelo during his illness and in his last days, especially his main nurse Christine and a few others at Health Sciences Centre, 4th Floor. A Service of Remembrance and Prayers will be held at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. on Monday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. with Father Raphael Glofcheski officiating. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013. If friends so desire contributions may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or flowers are gratefully accepted.   • I first met my friend Angelo when he used to work @ Grand Motors on Main St. I enjoyed his company whenever we were together especially when he invited me to his mother's house on Sunday's for a wonderful Italian meal his mother used to make.
