• Mrs. Schneider was instrumental in my youth and young adult life. As a child I remember her PATIENCE. Saturday afternoons I would be learning hymn songs for Little Britain Sunday's Service. It was like teaching a fish how to climb a tree. As a family we would buy our eggs from the Schneiders. I was always fascinated with the farm and all the chickens. I could have spent hours there. As a young adult our paths crossed again as we both worked together at the Met in Selkirk. Mrs. Schneider who asked me to call her Vi (that was hard) trained me and I saw a woman who took her job serious with passion and loyalty. For a 20 yr old whose mind was on "What bar am I going to tonight?" she taught me the values in life. As years went by I met up with Mrs. Schneider at the Betel. So sad to see this vibrant women become frail. I am not sure if she remembered me but every time I stopped by to say hello she always returned my greeting with that warm smile of hers.
