PETER BREUER March 21, 1945 April 15, 2013 Peacefully, on Monday, April 15, 2013 at the age of 68, Peter Breuer Sr. passed away with his family at his side after putting up a noble fight with cancer. Peter was predeceased by his father Ferdinand and mother Helena. Peter will be dearly missed by his wife of 44 years, Eva; his children: Roman (Barb), Danny (Tanya) and Peter (Christy) and his grandchildren: Maya, Hayden, Olivia and Ben. His loss will be felt by his sister Vera, friend and brother-in-law Vlado and their family Kathy (Nathan), Adriane (Nick), his family and friends in Slovakia and his extended family and many close friends here. Peter was born in Bratislava, Slovakia on March 21, 1945. He worked as a sound technician for Bratislava radio station where he met the love of his life Eva. Peter immigrated to Canada in 1968 followed closely by Eva. They were married that same year within the Slovakian community and raised three boys. Peter started his career with Advance electronics upon touching down on Canadian soil; he worked at Advance for a number of years, and then worked as maintenance man for Marymound School before making his mark in the automotive industry. Peter spent several years at Royal Dodge Chrysler before moving over to Keystone Ford sales where he would pack in his tool box and retire. Peter loved the outdoors especially camping with his family. Throughout the early years the family traveled all over Western Canada and the Northern states before finding their dream spot in North Western Ontario. Peter had a passion for picking wild mushrooms and taking long boat rides around Blindfold lake with Eva seated in the bow. He will be remembered for his one of a kind sense of humour, ability to fix and repair anything placed on his workbench and for that special way he greeted you. "We will always cherish the times we had with you, Peter, dad, brother, grandpa, uncle and friend. Your legacy shall live on, rest well." A celebration of Peter's life will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Monday, April 22, 2013, at Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery & Crematorium 1800 Day Street. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Health Sciences Centre, Concordia Hospital and Home care for taking such good care of Peter. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Concordia Hospital or Health Sciences Centre Foundations. • I was deeply saddened to hear of Peter's passing and send my sincere condolences to Eva and the rest of the family. My relationship with Peter goes back to Oxford Heights Community Club when I was president. I could always count on Peter to volunteer to do whatever had to be done for spring and winter carnivals, hockey tournaments and community events. He always brought a smile to my face. Though our lives have gone on in different directions, I truly cherish the chance to meet Peter and NOW I have only the memories of that very special person. Rest in peace Peter.
