Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRICHARD (BUD) ALBERT FRANCIS Peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2013. after a brief illness, our dad and beloved grandfather passed away at the Selkirk General Hospital at the age of 84. He is survived by his two children, his daughter Maureen (Alfred) Epp of Boissevain, MB and his son Richard (Eileen) Francis of Winnipeg. He leaves behind his four grandchildren Tracy, Adam, Grace and Lily. He is also survived by his brother Ted (Eve) Francis of Selkirk. Dad was predeceased by his beloved wife Vivian in May, 1996 and continued to miss her every day. Dad was born May 12, 1928, in Lethbridge, AB. He was raised in Selkirk and in the early 1960's he started an insurance business and later added Selkirk Travel. Dad was a well respected member of the travel industry and was a hard worker who put in six days a week at the office. Dad was a wonderful father and a caring grandfather. He had a tremendous sense of humour and many people will miss the laughs they shared with him. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses for their compassion and excellent care. We would like to thank all of the family and friends for their love and support. As per dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held Monday, April 29, 2013. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in dad's memory to the Selkirk Palliative Care, Box 5000, Selkirk, MB, R1A 2M2. I will miss Bud dearly. who else will come into the store and tell me his latest joke or voice his opinion about the line up or people seeking for change. He was always in a hurry to check out of the store but never to stop and say hi "How you doing and hows the family" We will miss you Bud and you are now with your wife whom you missed dearly. - Posted by: Rachelle Mayo () on: Apr 30, 2013
