It was the shocking news, that brought tears to my eyes. And you made me remember what it was like to cry. On that dreadful day, God decided it was your time, your time to go, so He took your life away. I have known you my whole life and didn't want to believe the horrible news that time had ended. Billy I cherish every moment, time and will hold it dear to my heart and always will till we meet again in heaven. I am so sorry Alisa, Henry, Sarah, Joyce and all of Billy's friends. This hurts so deeply to write and I feel your pain. - Posted by: Alia Mitchell () on: May 14, 2013

Bill and I started our friendship when we were 3 years old. We shared any and many moments together that shaped us who we are today. Billy and I continued our friendship thru out our teens 20's 30's and our 40's. A real honor to have that privilege to stay friends close friends. Billy will always be apart of my life and the memories I carry of Bill will keep me strong in my journey. Loved Billy as a brother and a best friend. - Posted by: joey giancola (friend) on: May 06, 2013

What an awful thing to hear just this morning....that you were gone, I had no idea. I was just thinking about you last week. You were so fun to work with and made the shifts go by so fast. I will always cherish our long talks in the fill bank. My heart aches for your family, you will be so missed. If only I know the last time I saw you, would have been the last. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Tiffany (Co-worker and Friend) on: May 06, 2013

We met 13 years ago at MLLC, we were young and foolish. As time went by we grew older, yet still remained foolish! ( We just got better at it ) That's just how we helped each other get through life. Thank You Billy for allowing me to be a part of your life. You will hold a special place in my heart. You were so proud of Sara and Henry in all they did. Your friends were so proud of you, working full time nights, going to school everyday, and taking care of kids. Still you always made time for fun with friends. I will miss our frequent phone conversations which always started with " hey Billy how are ya?" Which you'd reply " Oh Allison I have my problems" we'd laugh. No matter the topic of the day we'd end the call with laughter. I still wait for your call...we always joked that our lives were one big Seinfeld episode. Remember your Kramer entrance at the Spike? Priceless. So now we've come to the last episode where we have to say good bye. Just know that I play back reruns of our time together in my head and heart. Sweet Home Chicago Baby!! I met Bill through work with lotteries, and created a true and lasting friendship. Bill was a great friend and a wonderful and proud father, there was never a time we spoke that Sarah and Henry didn't come into the conversation. We kept in touch after I moved away, a lot of that was on his part, showing me what a great friend he really was. I will miss you Billy, you will always hold a place in my heart. I am so sorry I can't make it on the weekend, I would have loved to be a part of the celebration, as I'm sure there will be many stories to be told, I have a few myself!! My thoughts and prayers are with all Bill's friends and family!! Love you Billy!!! - Posted by: Alicia Lewis (friend) on: May 02, 2013

I have so many fond memories of Billy from my childhood and teenage years. I often visited his parents’ house with our grandma or saw him when he came out to the farm to visit my family, and remember him always cracking jokes, teasing me relentlessly, and quoting Andrew Dice Clay. I will never forget cruising around in one of Billy’s mustangs while Steve Earle blasted on the stereo. When I saw him in December for the first time in many years, it was so great to see him laughing and joking like the Billy I remembered from way back. I’m sorry that I can’t be there in person this week to help celebrate his life, but I am thinking about all of those close to him and hope that you can find some comfort in knowing how much he affected people throughout his life and in sharing many happy memories together. - Posted by: Karen Lewco Rach (Cousin) on: May 01, 2013

There are no words to describe how we are feeling that you left us on such short notice! You were a great guy Bill, and always a hoot to be around! We've known Bill for 13 years and there has never been a dull moment! We had great times at work, stories that would make you turn RED... And then you'd reply YES MAM, NO MAM We partied many times together and every time we partied you'd say Amelia those are great jeans lol what brand are they? And I would never reply I would just say oh thank you Billy... (There Silvers Bill) - Posted by: Cat & Amelia (Friends (co-workers)) on: May 01, 2013

Well, I have many many hilarious, fun, shocking, good times with Bill! I worked with Bill for 8 years. We worked close together at times and he always found a way to joke around. There were many times we would both laughed uncontrollable resulting in making our night easier to work. I was so excited that he was finally going to be able to do another field of work that he worked so hard for to get! He talked a lot about his kids. Bill was proud of them! He loved his 70s and 80s music. Many times we would conflict with each others taste in music as I like Hip-Hop! Bill was fun to party with. He always wanted to have a good time. There had been some hard times that Bill had been through. But he always had a smile on his face and liked to put one on others! I will miss his friendship and the precious time we had together. Bill made me laugh and smile on days that were hard for me. I will never forget him. He was a dear friend, and a great person all around. The workplace is very saddened and there is a sense of grave loss amongst everyone who was touched by Bill's friendship! - Posted by: Bernadette Klowak (Friend! ( coworker )) on: Apr 30, 2013

I had the pleasure of working with Bill at Club Regent. He was a nice person to talk to. We talked about Comics mostly. And we had a few great conversations like Could Batman beat Wolverine in a fight. OR could Superman beat the Hulk. Bill was a knowledgable man about a lot of subjects. And he never failed to come up with an angle that made you think. That more than anything else made me respect him. His ability to think outside the box. Rest in Peace Bill. I met Bill at Club Regent where we worked together in the bank. He had an infectious smile and no matter how bad things seemed he would always find the humourous side to it. We had the pleasure of having him bartend at our daughter's wedding. He will be missed. - Posted by: Irene Demskie (Friend and co-worker) on: Apr 30, 2013

I had the pleasure of working with Bill for the past 8 years. We had many laughs at work and got into trouble a few times because of it. Bill was always talking about sports and got me into Spirit Select. What I liked the most was that Bill was never afraid to speak his mind. I have a lot of respect for him and the sacrifices he made to go to school and continue to work fulltime. - Posted by: Darren Gibson (Coworker) on: Apr 30, 2013
