Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHENRI (HANK) JOSEPH YOUVILLE LEVASSEUR November 4, 1934 - April 29, 2013 Hank passed away on Monday, April 29, 2013 at the Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 78 years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Rosalie, her son Clare (Jennifer) Dickinson, and her brother Clare Letandre. He is also survived by his brother Marcel (Diane), and his sisters Jeannine (Louis) Carriere, and Yvette (Louis) Bouvier. Hank had a special relationship with his stepchildren Sheldon (Terri) Leyte, Carl, Tammy and Debbie. He will be dearly missed by his step-grandchildren Miranda, Tyler and Tanner. Hank was predeceased by his father Hervé, mother Lucienne, and one brother, Laurent. Over the years, Hank's work as an electrician brought him to many northern communities along the DEW Line. He was always willing to share his skills and help friends and family when needed. He enjoyed reading and was continuously learning. His proudest achievement was having obtained his B.A. in Religious Studies in 2012. Some of his favourite moments were spent with Rosalie by his side watching and cheering at the grandsons' hockey games. The family would like to thank the staff on GH-4 at the Health Sciences Centre for the care provided during his battle with mesothelioma. Cremation has taken place and a funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Michael and All Angels Church, 300 Hugo Street North. I will never forget Hank..More than a co-worker ,Hank was a gentle Man that I always enjoyed talking to. Hank was the last original Dewliner that helped build the Radar Sites that also retired from There and I will always remember His Stories from the Early Days on the Line. I planned on visiting you again this weekend Not knowing how close it was to the end. But the call came that you were gone And now we will your loss, mourn.
