Rose du Lac with her family by her side. Mom was born on September 30, 1925 on the family farm. She attended Seudan School. Eva married Charles Douglas "Doug" Hanna on September 29, 1945. She graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1968 and retired from nursing in 1987. Mom was a hard working, caring and kind person. She will be deeply missed. She was predeceased by her loving husband of almost 55 years Doug Hanna in September 2000, and her three sons-in-law Jim in 2006, Greg and Marcel in 2007. Eva leaves to mourn her passing and cherish many fond memories; her four daughters Sharon of Stonewall, Marion of Dauphin, Heather (Marvin) of Swan River and Deanie of Winnipeg. There are eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks and appreciation to the staff of the Dr. Gendreau Personal Care Home where Mom lived for the past 10 years. We would also like to thank Dr. David O'Hagan for the exceptional care that he provided to Mom for many years. Funeral Service for Eva will be held on Wednesday, May 8 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ste. Rose de Lima Roman Catholic Church under the auspices of the United Church of Canada. Rev. Steve Wilson will officiate. Interment will take place at the Gladstone Cemetery on Wednesday, May 8 at 2:30 p.m. next to her husband Doug. Eva's fellow LPN's formed the honour guard. Should friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Eva to the Dr. Gendreau Personal Care Home Activities Department, Box 420, Ste. Rose du Lac, MB, R0L 1S0. Goodbye Mom, we love you and will miss you. Your time with us is over, and you've gone to a better place. Till we meet again. Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Services Ste.
