Raymond was predeceased by his wife Elsie (2007) and brothers Carl and Gerald. He will be lovingly remembered by his only daughter Darlene (Allen) Palmer, sisters Helen and Mary, brother James (Joan) of Ontario and many nieces and nephews. Raymond was a longtime resident of Transcona with great neighbours (Park Circle and Kern Dr.). He retired as a locomotive engineer for C.N.R in 1986. Raymond enjoyed golfing and the many friends he made at Elmhurst Golf and Country Club. Mom and Dad made many trips to Destin, Florida with their fellow "Snowbird" friends. A special thank you to Marylou and the staff on the 10th floor at Parkview for their care of Dad. A private family interment has been held. An Irish Blessing- May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your fields And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand. Amen. We are so sad to hear of the passing of your Dad. We have many many happy memories of both Ray & Elsie. He was a very kind & gentle man. Before he moved from the house, he gave me a few small things that I will cherish always. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. My condolences to the family. Mr. Finn was a wonderful man! As a manager of Elmhurst, for many years, it was a privilege and a pleasure to have known him and his lovely wife. - Posted by: Ronald Franks (friend) on: May 11, 2013
