So very sorry to hear of your loss. Pauline was such a dear friend of the family who we met twenty five years ago when she visited England with Matt and Tim. Our visit to Canada in 1990 changed our lives and we often hoped we would all meet up again one day. Dearest condolences to George, Matt and Tim. - Posted by: Simon Davison (Friends) on: Jun 18, 2013

Dear George and boys, It is always very difficult to lose a wife and Mom. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this sorrowful time. We will miss her ready smile and wave as our paths crossed, either going to or coming from. The picture posted in the newspaper says it all: happy, kind and generous. Great picture! Take care you all. - Posted by: Rob and Paulette, @ 105 (Neighbour) on: May 27, 2013

Pauline was a dear friend whom we met when we first arrived in Winnipeg many years ago. She showed great patience and love and a fantastic sense of humor. She introduced us to the pleasures of Earl Grey tea and Eatons Downstairs, took us to the Festival du Voyageur and documented our lives in her photos, again with great patience. I will never be able to look at my wedding photos without thinking of Pauline's kindness and patience for being there on our special day and including the dog in most of the shots. She always had a listening ear, a kind word and warm bear hugs. I will miss those hugs very much. One more cup of tea, one more warm hug would be so great to share again. Rest in peace Dear Pauline, sleep until the resurrection. (John 5:28-29) "...because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life..." - Posted by: Janet Pinilo (Friend) on: May 25, 2013

We first met Pauline and George in 1976 when we immigrated from New Zealand. They opened their hearts to us. When my father was sick and dying in that same year in August Pauline looked after our three children and a new puppy when we had to drive to Saskatchewan. We have never forgotten her calm nature, quick smile and great hugs. She was always very obliging, especially with taking pictures at whatever event we asked her to. Sleep well dear friend and we will see you in the resurrection. John 5:28-29. - Posted by: Gavin and Verna Watson (Friends) on: May 25, 2013

Pauline was the dearest, kindest lady, and she will be truly and sadly missed. She and my mum were best friends back in the day, and my siblings and I grew up like cousins with Pauline's two sons, Matt and Tim. So many happy memories of travelling, visiting, and just laughing a lot all together. A couple of months back Pauline and I were talking about the good memories we have together and she stopped suddenly and said, "I love you." And I'd said, "I love you, too." And it felt like the last twenty years had melted away into nothing. I hadn't known that she'd been going for surgery. I'd just heard about it afterward. And now suddenly she's gone and I can't believe it. Love to her family, always.... - Posted by: Shannon Peppard (Friend) on: May 25, 2013
