WILLIAM (BILL) GRAEME DOUGLAS It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bill (B-Boy) Douglas on May 22, 2013 at the age of 79 years old. He will be so lovingly missed by his wife Lori, his daughters, Janis (George), Gayle, his grandchildren, Robert "Jace" (Michelle), Jenipher (Bob), Don, great grandchildren, Gage, Ethan and Riley and his constant companion, Cleo his dog. He is also survived by his nieces, Darcy, Maureen and nephew Jeff (Cris) as well as their families. Bill had been employed by the CNR in Winnipeg for all of his working life. In his earlier years, he was an owner/trainer of the thoroughbred horses at the Assiniboine Downs and had many wins with his horses. Our family cannot even begin to thank Dr. Brian Sharkey for his care and compassion of Bill and family. Special thanks to the ER staff at the Victoria General Hospital for their compassionate care for Bill and to the family during our loss. Bill has been cremated and as per his wish, there will be a celebration of his life at a Memorial Reception to be held on Thursday, May 30 between 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillvray Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or to a charity of choice. My great grandpa. I felt sad wanted to be alone for a while I got a bit sick so I told my dad, me and great grandpa both liked fishing and horses we were so close to each other and I wanted to see him one more time but it was too late so I was very sad I went in my room then sat down and talked to my dad about it. he will always be in my heart and memory. by your great grandson. Uncle B-Boy taught me a few lessons with his horses. Best to walk close to the horse's ass because, if he kicks, doesn't hurt as much in close Fall/Bucked off the horse (which happened a few times in the corral at Al's Place). Get Back On Immediately!! I applied the principles behind these lessons to life and thank Uncle B-Boy and my Dad for teaching me them. - Posted by: Jeff Douglas (nephew) on: May 26, 2013
