IVER BERTRAM IVERSON November 11, 1924 - April 21, 2013 Peacefully on April 21, 2013, at the Eriksdale Personal Care Home with family at his side, Iver passed from our presence at 88 years. He was born with his twin Betty to Iver and Emma Iverson on November 11, 1924. A middle child in a family of ten, he learned at an early age about hard work. He made the move to the city and worked at Anthes Foundry for several years, farming on the weekends. There he met Merle and they were married in 1957. They lived in the city until 1961 when he moved his young family back to the farm. With all their help he was able to do what he knew best. Always resourceful, he welded and repaired and kept the equipment going. Predeceased by his son Blaine, his parents, brothers James and Edmund, sisters Ellen, Ida, Emma, Betty and Martha. He leaves to remember him, his wife Merle, children Maretta (Orville), Garry (Yvette), Gayle (Geoffrey) and Tannis (Ralph); his grand-children Shannon (Jake), Cheryl, Diane (Eric), Gregory, Tamsy (Mitch), Craig, Steven and Krystin; great-grandchildren Dylan, Kayla, Jakob, Samantha and Adam; sister Kathleen (Bill) and brother Tom (Myrtle). A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at the Grahamdale Hall with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Sincere thanks to Homecare and the wonderful caregivers at the Eriksdale Personal Care Home over the years and also to John Gray of Arnason Funeral Home for his guidance and compassion.
