CLARA ADELINE RAMSEY (MACLENNAN)
Date of Passing: Jun 02, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLARA ADELINE RAMSEY (nee MACLENNAN) It is with sadness that Clara's family announces her passing on June 2, 2013. Clara was predeceased by her parents, William and Lenora MacLennan, as well as her loving husband of 66 years, Robert Lloyd. Clara leaves her four children and their spouses, Myrna (Ernie) Mol, Lynette (Duaine) Riach, Raymond (Rena) Ramsey and Deborah (Dennis) Kissick, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, sister Joyce Grier, and sister and brother-in-law Doreen and Harold Ostberg. Together our parents worked the family farm in Greenridge, Manitoba. With farm life as her foundation, Mom devoted herself to family and community. She was an active member of the United Church, and was proud to have spent 25 years as a member and past Worthy Matron of the Dominion City Order of the Eastern Star. Mom and Dad enjoyed a very active lifestyle in their "retirement" years spending the summers camping and fishing with friends, and during the winters they enjoyed their home in Pine to Palm, Weslaco, Texas where they would bike, shuffle and dance. In 1998, our parents relocated to Winnipeg and "Armadale Hollows" became both their home and new community. After Dad passed, Mom continued to enjoy her exercise groups, crib nights, and bible study. In the last few years the friendships mom forged here really helped to sustain her zest for life. In April of 2013 Mom was able to relocate to Concordia Village - she was thrilled with her new "digs", the daily meals which she loved and a new camaraderie. Mom was truly happy to have had this experience if for all too brief a time. Thank you to the amazing nursing staff of Unit 2. We, and especially Mom, are most grateful for the care you provided. Mom you are missed and much loved. A celebration of Clara's life will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2:00 p.m. at Greenridge United Church, Greenridge, Manitoba If friends so desire, a donation may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9, or a charity of your choice. Online guest book available. THOMSON "IN THE PARK" 925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com
