Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryH. BRUCE WHITE Bruce passed away at the age of 80, on June 10, 2013. Bruce was born on February 23, 1933 in Toronto, ON, to parents Blanche and C. Lear White. In 1958 he married Mary Jean Lassner and moved shortly after to St. Lambert, PQ, where they lived until 1971. They moved their family to Calgary where Bruce continued his sales career with Alberta Government Telephones. In 1999 after retiring, they moved to Winnipeg where Dad enjoyed curling, golfing and attending his grandkids sporting events. He loved to putter in his workshop, so there are many garden benches scattered in friend's yards. He got involved with the Fort Garry Twins Junior Hockey team and spent five years doing a lot of their fundraising. Bruce is survived by his wife, Mary Jean, his three children, Barb (Chuck), Rob (Diane), and John (Sue); his seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and his sister Lois from Toronto. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Church, 933 Summerside Ave. Winnipeg, MB. I met and new Bruce thru the Fort Garry Twins Hockey Team. I will miss the countless short jokes Bruce always had for me and will always remember how Bruce was always quick to volunteer to help when it was needed. I met Bruce through the MMJHL Twins Hockey Organization and my heart is heavy at this news of Bruce's passing.
