THOR SIGURDSON 1928 - 2013 It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved Father, Afi, Big Afi, Uncle, Brother, friend and neighbour. Thor passed away peacefully on June 11, 2013 with his family at his side. A celebration of Thor's life will be held at the Eriksdale Community Centre at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013 with Pastor Bill officiating. Interment to follow in the Eriksdale Municipal Cemetery. Thor's grandchildren can consider themselves Honorary Pallbearers for their Afi that day. Rest in Peace, Elskien We love you. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital, in care of Irene Sigurdson, P.O. Box 474, Eriksdale, MB R0C 0W0 and/or STARS Air Ambulance online at www.foundation.stars.ca. The family would like to thank the Lakeshore Ambulance attendants, Dr. Arara, Dr. Gergis and the wonderful nursing staff at the Eriksdale Hospital and the Health Sciences Centre for Afi's excellent care. I have great memories of working with Thor at sigs for many years, and visiting him on my first dear hunt in Eriksdale where I got my first Deer 3 years ago. And dropping off the towels to get washed from sigs every day when he lived in stonewall, Thor and Bette always made me feel welcome in their home and would always offer me a drink or something to eat, a gentle man with a gentle soul, he always asked me how my dad was doing, it never failed, and talked to me about tractors, trailers, and anything mechanical. And when he came to Sigs he would come in and say "BUSY" and every time he would say it me and Miles would laugh . Bette's wait is over, Thor and Bette are now together in heaven. We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Thor. He will be missed. I have had one regret or sort of a regret ... not taking Thor up on his offer to take me up in his stunt plane one Sunday morning many years ago. But I errored on the side of caution having been out with the boys the nignt before.
