MARY BARRETT Peacefully on June 7, 2013, our dear Mom and Grammy Mary Barrett passed away at the age of 92. She will be sadly missed by her children Don (Janina), Kathleen (J.R.), Lisa (Steve), and her grandchildren Nikolas (Tracey), Alexa, Scott, Michael and Braden, all of whom she loved dearly. Mary was predeceased by her husband Ted in 2008, after 57 years of marriage. Mom was an avid reader, you never saw her without a book in hand, and she also loved doing her daily crossword puzzle. She loved jazz music and was a huge fan of all the arts. Mom enjoyed her garden and seeing different types of birds come to the yard. She was a great walker and enjoyed the outdoors at all times of the year. Mom loved cats and always had a feline companion, the latest being Cally cat. "And while she lies in peaceful sleep, her memory we shall always keep." We wish to thank Dr. Brar and the caring staff of Seven Oaks Hospital, 3rd floor units where mom spent the last couple of months of her life. A private family celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
