Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVIVIAN MARGARET HLADY (nee HAMMERSTEDT) With wonderful memories and sad hearts, we regret to announce the sudden passing of Vivian Hlady on June 12, 2013. Vivian was born in Pine Falls, MB on December 20, 1925 and lived most of her early years there. She married Paul Hlady November 20, 1946. They raised their four children in Glenmoor, MB. Sadly Paul predeceased her October 21, 1973, later she moved to Selkirk. She will be lovingly remembered by daughter Sandy Peters, twin sons John (Evie), Billy (Diane) and Ernie (Debby); grandchildren Quinn and Brenn Peters, Sherry (Greg Balzer), Jody, Jamie (Miriam) Hlady, Kevin and Nancy Hlady, Kirsty (Kirk) and Kyle (Kalon) Hlady, and great-grandson David Balzer. She is also survived by her brothers Walter (Chris), Ole (Clara), baby brother Denis (Edie), sisters-in-law Mary and Marion Hlady, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff of the Betel Home in Selkirk for the exceptional TLC extended to our mother during her short time there. Memorial service celebrating Vivian's life will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 6088 PTH 9A, near Selkirk. A private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Vivian's memory to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation or Betel Home Foundation, Selkirk, MB.
