Full of life, Iris Penwarden was a gift to my life both as a skillful social work practitioner and as a supportive friend. Her compassion, her wisdom and her laughter were engaging and shared liberally in fun with me and anyone who was in relationship with her in a difficult work situation. My occasional encounters with Iris since our working together were as much fun as before and a reminder about how special a person she was.
