ROLAND MANGIN August 4, 1942 - June 16, 2013 Surrounded by his family, Roland passed away at the Foyer Notre Dame on June 16, 2013 at the age of 70 years. Roland laisse à chérir sa mémoire ses frères: Hubert (Colette) et Adrien (Patricia); ses soeurs Madeleine Rheault, Cécile Desrochers et Alice DeBaets (Herman), une belle-soeur Denise Mangin, plusieurs neveux et nièces, cousins, cousines et tous ses amis à St Malo. Roland fut précédé par son père, Albert (1954), sa mère Rose (2004), ses frères Norbert (2003) et Arthur (2010) ainsi que sa soeur Irene Schaefer (2004); ses beaux-frères Arthur Rheault (1997) et Guy Desrochers (1986). Roland was born and raised in Bruxelles, Manitoba. Roland lived in St. Malo, MB for 35 years of his life under the care and supervision of EPIC/SMILE of St. Malo Inc. St. Malo was a special place for him and he was happy there. The workshop gave him a purpose in life and he took great pride in everything he did. Roland also enjoyed many unforgettable experiences whether it be work related, hockey games, baseball games, concerts, camping at Moose Lake, harness racing, visits at Tim Hortons and many other outings too numerous to mention. His life was greatly enriched by these experiences. Heartfelt gratitude to all the staff and caregivers who journeyed with Roland throughout the years he resided in St. Malo. Your many acts of kindness never went unnoticed and were greatly appreciated. The family would also like to thank all the dedicated and compassionate staff of the St. Claude Health Centre and the Foyer Notre Dame for always being attentive to his needs. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in the St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church in Bruxelles, MB on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with prayers prior. Interment of the cremated remains to follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roland's memory to: ACL Red River Branch, Box 280, St. Malo, MB R0A 1T0.
